NYX Lip Lingerie in Bedtime Flirt

I was regretting that I didn't purchase bedtime flirt when I purchased my first order of the lip lingeries. Then I realized they were sold out when I placed my first order, so I didn't feel so bad and guilty after. I needed to order more lip liners anyway. Before I fully checked out,I was like, let's see if she's back in stock, and voila! Bam baby. So I bought it and omg. I love it. Yoooo, like, omg. I feel complete. I just, it's indescribable. *tear*. I just wanna thank God...But really. This is the perfect nude pinky shade for ANY skin tone. I did pair it with NYX cappuccino lip liner btw. But, yeah, must have for the price. Like, for real lol.

NYX Lip Lingerie in Beauty Mark & Ombre blush in Nude to Me

Oh hey there! I'm just, ya know, serving face per usual. Today, (I think this was yesterday really) I'm rocking the newest craze of the year, NYX Lip Lingerie liquid lipstick in Beauty Mark. It's VERY close in resemblance to teddy. Trust me, you don't need both, just get one or the other.

On my cheeks I'm rocking the NYX ombre blush in Nude to me. And voila! This combo is very flattering on my nc45 skin.

NYX Liquid Lingerie & Ombre Blushes

NYX has been on the come up for some time now. I remember when they were nobodies with cheap packaging, and now they just sell out like Twinkies on the fourth of July.

These liquid lipsticks are so far so good. Being as though I haven't worn them for more than.....5 seconds to swatch these photos, I can't currently give a review on wear time as of yet. Stay tuned though.

I bought the liquid lingerie lipsticks in teddy, beauty mark, exotic, and embellishment. They dry down to a nice moisturizing matte finish. I did notice that the colors tend to deepen once completely dried. They do have a weird taste though...whatever.

So far,I can't complain! I love the color selection and that anyone of any skin color can obtain a skin suiting nude. My faves are exotic and beauty mark. Exotic is the EXACT same color as my natural lips, something I've never been able to find. And beauty mark is a nice warm brown, while teddy is a cooler muted brown. Embellishment is a cool muted lilac, while exotic is an almost mauve-y neutral red/pink These are definitely a grab for the bargain. They retail for $7. Get it! Cuz I said so.

Now onto these blushes! Haven't tried em. Lol, but they're gorgeous. NYX has wow'd me with their packaging. From the bag to the box, just perfect. I tried to pick up the most "black skin"friendly colors. I think I did very well. The texture is creamy and you can mix the colors, or wear them separately. Some of the lighter colors make for a great highlighter. The sell for $10, I'd definitely say get it. Why not?

Poppy Austin Rose Water& Vitamin C Serum

I was searching Amazon.com for rose water, and stumbled upon this gem of a kind. Well, if you're lucky, it's definitely a gem. (I'll get into that in a minute)

Rose water provides a multitude of benefits for the skin. It calms, soothes, brightens, and helps return the skin to its natural pH balance. There are plenty of manufacturers out there that claim to have pure rose water. Don't be fooled, as they may be full of synthetics, dyes, alcohol, and they may even be diluted, which can give the complete opposite result you may be searching for.

On Amazon they sell for about $20 a pop got a 4 oz. Bottle. My first bottle was amazeballs. The scent was pure heaven. It helped brighten my skin, and left me with fewer break outs. Needless to say I used that baby up, and purchased another. But I wasn't so lucky the second time. Since these bottles of distilled rose water are organically made, the consistency may be a little off as each batch is made by hand and distilled many times. The second bottle smelled like roses.....That had been boiled wayyyy too long or something. It just smelled like old, spoiled roses. So I returned it and got another. No biggie. BUT THEN...

I stumbled upon their vitamin c serum. A 2 oz. bottle runs for about $26. Vitamin c is known for its anti aging properties. Poppy Austin's vitamin c serum is listed as a refined infusion of naturally derived and organic ingredients. Including vitamin c, jojoba oil , & hyaluronic acid. The consistency is that of "thick water" it dries with no film, may become a bit sticky while patting it into the skin, but that goes away once completely dried. This left my skin brighter, smoother, and definitely more plump and hydrated.

These products are reasonably priced for what they have to offer and how well they perform. I know not everything works for everybody. But,I have a good feeling about this stuff.

KVD+ Beautyblender Customizable Complexion Set $46

I believe I've made a post about this foundation in the past as one of my holy grail foundations. And till this day, that fact remains. Whats even better, is that Sephora has an AMAZING deal going on right now with the KVD Lock it Tattoo Foundation. It's a kit that comes with a full sized KVD LITF, and KVD branded beautyblender in black, and 1 sample sized liquid blender cleanser, and 1 sample sized Lock it featherweight primer packette. The kit retails for $46, which is a pretty friggin' good deal given that the foundation alone is $35 and the beautyblender is $20 a pop. That's like, free money....not really. I really like to psych myself out into thinking I need something. So that's exactly what I told myself when I bought this. Ha! Phew! Ok, without further a due, check it out ;)

P.S. I actually went in store to purchase this. Many people online said when they ordered the product received on had the beauty blender and no foundation, or vice versa, or the wrong shade. Just give up that ebates cash back incentive this one time to save you a possible headache and purchase in store.

My Makeup & Skincare Essentials

I knowwwwwww, don't tell me. I have a lot of holy grail products that I use, because, well, the world would end without them, duh.

I was contacted by Samantha from glossier.com about my makeup essentials. I thought I'd throw in some skincare as well. Why not?

The items listed here are my ABSOLUTE, I WILL DIE IF I DON'T HAVE THIS products. Without further a due...here are my must have essentials.
This, this right here. * claps to the lord almighty*. L'oreal magic nude liquid powder in classic tan. This is a fair priced foundation that makes your skin look flawless for what its worth. Too bad it's discontinued. Oh well, I'll continue to haul them on eBay.

Benefits Rollerlash is literally a thickening curling iron for your lashes. It separates, defines, curls. No clumps, and none of that mascara dusting onto your face throughout the day stuff.

Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow pomade in ebony is the shiz. That is all. It will last you a lifetime before drying out on you. Smooth, slick, moves no where. Try it, you'll like it.

Tarte Colored clay CC primer in deep. It goes on lightweight and contains green and purple to brighten and tone skin. Its perfect to wear alone to blur imperfections, or under foundation for a flawless look.

MUFE Full cover concealer. It's water resistant, doesn't crease and even after your foundation has faded, it's the last man standing.
This is great in that the highlight you want to achieve with this powder is build able. Use it to set your concealer and/or highlight

Becca shimmering skin perfecter in opal. Not too shimmery, but gives a GORGEOUS glow. I use it under my concealer  as well as using it on the high points on my face. It doesn't make much of an effect in person, but when that camera flashes! Gwerrrl!

Becca shimmering skin perfecter- pressed. I layer this on top of the liquid skin perfecter. It gives a truer glow from within when you layer your highlight

I can not, I will not, wear foundation without a primer. This is my staple, and if I forget to put it on, I cry. I wish i was lying...

Clinique emergency gel lotion. I've got acne prone skin. It's super annoying, but whatever. This stuff actually allows me to partially live my life when I have a pimple pop up.

Lush Sugar lip scrub. I wear lipstick, especially matte textured lipsticks, everyday. Lip scrubs are essential for that perfect lip application. Who wants to talk you when you've got crusty dusty lips? No one, exactly.

I've posted about this before. Nope, nothings changed. Still love it.

Josie Maran's infinity oil. I like to use this at night, otherwise I'll turn into a grease ball if used during the day. It helps to remove blemishes and really soften your skin over time. I love it, hence the empty tube.

When I need a deep clean, I use this thing. Your skin is instantly brighter after use. It tingles just right. Just don't use it after you've had some heavy face scrubbing going on.

Poppy Austin rose water. Ahhhh my new fave! The benefits of rose water are limitless. It helps to brighten my skin, tighten and shrink my pores, and the smell is divine!

Boscia makeup breakup oil cleanser. I've been using this for years. I've tried many oil cleansers and always came back to this.It removes the most stubborn mascara, and you don't need that much product to do it either. Hey honey, I'm home!

Clinique acne solutions all over clearing treatment. I use this as part of the 3 step acne clearing treatment. I'm lying, I only use two, but it helps get rid of my pimples for sure.

Josie Maran argan oil. I wanna sing! I'm in love with oils, have I told you that? But I love this oil like no other. Its calming, soothing, fast absorbing, fights aging, and more.

Garnier skin active micellar water. This is a new one. Although its an extra step in the makeup removal process, I love it because it helps me use less face wash to remove whats left over.

I just love Josie Maran skincare, Don't judge me. Get this, it's awesome. That is ALL. Carry on.

UD b6 prep spray. When urban decay says its the spray you thought you didn't need until you tried it. They weren't lying! it reduces redness, tightens pores, and has a spiffy cooling sensation.

Clinique oil control cleansing mask. If you have a blemish tonight, put this baby on, and it's gone tomorrow. I SWEAR

This is my daily clarifying lotion. It keeps things from creeping on my face.

My fave pimple eraser! Its best for the ones that have come to a head

Purity cleanser melts into my skin and washes away makeup like it was never there. Super gentle, another try it, you'll like it.

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT leave your house without spraying this on. That is an order. Spending all that time on your face so it can melt off? puhhhlease, pfft. This stuff locks it dowwnnnnnn

I used to not like glam glow, because I was like, I don't notice anything, but then I noticed how much moisture it was really feeding my skin, plus and make you tingly awwwwlll ova. A++++

Long list I know. But like it or not, I love it. I always find myself repurchasing these items, Whats funny is they all started off as samples, Hahahaha! Darn you samples! Or not, big up to samples!

Till Next time!

Sigma Pro Partners

Finally the day is here where you can actually become a pro member and get a discount for sigma products. I figured for a while why they never had a program to begin with. But they finally jumped on the bandwagon, and I couldn't be more happier! Nowadays, you're within half a degree of knowing a makeup artist. Its become a pretty big deal over the past 5-6 years. Social media has given more insight and inspiration into the business, causing many people to hop onboard. From tutorials, to workshops, the possibilities are endless on what you can learn, and how to be successful. That alone is a topic within itself that I'll blog about one day. So before I get off topic. Lets cut to the chase.
There's not much here really, haha! But it's much appreciated to not only become a pro member, but to receive a free gift!  They sent some sample highlighters and eyeshadows, along with my favorite e25 blending brush (my 5th one :p). There's also a membership card for the sigma store (that I'll probably never go to, I live in Atlanta). I did notice the e25 brush is a little different from the ones I have. Instead of natural bristles, the newer one is synthetic. I don't feel it affects the performance of the brush. I have my pros and cons for synthetic and natural for many different uses and reasons. Personally, this one blends the same as the others. *Kanye shrug* ok I'm done. Thank you Sigma! Xoxoxo

Oh, I just want a trim! :-/

If you're a stylist, you get it. Ha ha!  These are a few of clients clients that I've done over the past couple of weeks. One was a "trim" and the other some gracious highlights!

For the highlights,I didn't go too drastic, as it was her first time working with color. I did a partial focusing mainly in the center crown because of the way she normally styles her hair. I used 20 volume developer with Redken's blonde dimensions lightener. Then toned with shades EQ gloss in 1 oz 7 GB and 1 oz 8 WG with 2 oz processing solution. Then end result of both, welp, FLAWLESS. XOXO . Let me know what you think!
