Boscia Tsubaki Splash Mask Treatment

Hello again! Went on hiatus again, blah blah. I'm back!

So listen! I really thought this product was really innovative as I've never tried a hydrating treatment such as this one before.

It's splash mask that can be used one of 2 ways: take a bowl of water, and pump 3 pumps of treatment into the bowl. Splash face for 15-20 seconds and don't rinse your face off afterwards. Pat face dry.

Or

Pump 1-2 pumps directly onto a thoroughly wet face after a shower. Don't rinse or pat dry.

I thought this sounded gimmicky. But it was on sale from it's original $38 to $28. Would've never tried it if it wasn't on sale. When I put it to the test,  it is very hydrating. I do this at night and always wake up with smooth, supple skin.  For 28 bucks,  its worth a try!

Sephora Haul!

Hey gwerrrl! Haha! I have a haulage for you! *points finger at you*

So I had been eyeing a few things at Sephora for a while and well, of course the end result is that I ended up buying them. Duh.

So here's a list of what I bought

Boscia charcoal pore pudding: I have an affinity with anything charcoal. Charcoal masks, charcoal cleansers. All of it. So when this came on the market, I had to have it. I wanted to compare it to my Origins charcoal mask, but this is different. My origins charcoal mask creates a tingly feeling, while this doesn't. That doesn't take away from the fact that this a great product. It left my skin smooth, my pores less visible, and my skin was definitely less oily. The next day I was searching for the oil on my face with a blotting tissue, but to no avail, I couldn't find any. A little goes a long way with this stuff.

Black Up full coverage cream foundation in HC05: I was given a sample of this at Sephora. I didn't even ask for it, but boy am I glad she gave it because I'm hooked! The coverage is immaculate. I love full coverage foundations because I'm able to "dumb it down". I can use it full force, I can mix some moisturizer or luminizer and make it medium coverage, or I can put even more moisturizer to make it a tinted moisturizer. Full coverage foundations are ALWAYS a 3 in 1 to me.It creates a smooth even canvas. Doesn't set too quickly, doesn't settle into dry areas. It covers imperfections, and is buildable, although full coverage, without looking cakey. I used this with my beauty blender and it gave a flawless finish. (Picture with the munchkin below)

Cinema Secrets makeup brush cleaner pro starter kit: I'm no longer going to use another brush cleaner again! Quick, easy, fast drying! Plus, it leaves your brushes smelling like vanilla once fully dried (which is really like,3 seconds)

Free deluxe sample set by Bobbi Brown: haven't used the kit yet, but free is always good :)

Clinique take the day off cleansing balm: This is seriously having me change my mind to making the switch to cleansing balms. It removed all of my makeup without a hassle in a snap. No raccoon eyes, nuffin.

I also purchased some NYX Face and body glitter, as well as some Andrea lashes. I did a look with the glitter and it just made my heart flutter, but sadly I forgot to take pictures. I'm horrible at that, ha!

XoXo thanks for stopping by!

My Makeup & Skincare Essentials

I knowwwwwww, don't tell me. I have a lot of holy grail products that I use, because, well, the world would end without them, duh.

I was contacted by Samantha from glossier.com about my makeup essentials. I thought I'd throw in some skincare as well. Why not?

The items listed here are my ABSOLUTE, I WILL DIE IF I DON'T HAVE THIS products. Without further a due...here are my must have essentials.
This, this right here. * claps to the lord almighty*. L'oreal magic nude liquid powder in classic tan. This is a fair priced foundation that makes your skin look flawless for what its worth. Too bad it's discontinued. Oh well, I'll continue to haul them on eBay.

Benefits Rollerlash is literally a thickening curling iron for your lashes. It separates, defines, curls. No clumps, and none of that mascara dusting onto your face throughout the day stuff.

Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow pomade in ebony is the shiz. That is all. It will last you a lifetime before drying out on you. Smooth, slick, moves no where. Try it, you'll like it.

Tarte Colored clay CC primer in deep. It goes on lightweight and contains green and purple to brighten and tone skin. Its perfect to wear alone to blur imperfections, or under foundation for a flawless look.

MUFE Full cover concealer. It's water resistant, doesn't crease and even after your foundation has faded, it's the last man standing.
This is great in that the highlight you want to achieve with this powder is build able. Use it to set your concealer and/or highlight

Becca shimmering skin perfecter in opal. Not too shimmery, but gives a GORGEOUS glow. I use it under my concealer  as well as using it on the high points on my face. It doesn't make much of an effect in person, but when that camera flashes! Gwerrrl!

Becca shimmering skin perfecter- pressed. I layer this on top of the liquid skin perfecter. It gives a truer glow from within when you layer your highlight

I can not, I will not, wear foundation without a primer. This is my staple, and if I forget to put it on, I cry. I wish i was lying...

Clinique emergency gel lotion. I've got acne prone skin. It's super annoying, but whatever. This stuff actually allows me to partially live my life when I have a pimple pop up.

Lush Sugar lip scrub. I wear lipstick, especially matte textured lipsticks, everyday. Lip scrubs are essential for that perfect lip application. Who wants to talk you when you've got crusty dusty lips? No one, exactly.

I've posted about this before. Nope, nothings changed. Still love it.

Josie Maran's infinity oil. I like to use this at night, otherwise I'll turn into a grease ball if used during the day. It helps to remove blemishes and really soften your skin over time. I love it, hence the empty tube.

When I need a deep clean, I use this thing. Your skin is instantly brighter after use. It tingles just right. Just don't use it after you've had some heavy face scrubbing going on.

Poppy Austin rose water. Ahhhh my new fave! The benefits of rose water are limitless. It helps to brighten my skin, tighten and shrink my pores, and the smell is divine!

Boscia makeup breakup oil cleanser. I've been using this for years. I've tried many oil cleansers and always came back to this.It removes the most stubborn mascara, and you don't need that much product to do it either. Hey honey, I'm home!

Clinique acne solutions all over clearing treatment. I use this as part of the 3 step acne clearing treatment. I'm lying, I only use two, but it helps get rid of my pimples for sure.

Josie Maran argan oil. I wanna sing! I'm in love with oils, have I told you that? But I love this oil like no other. Its calming, soothing, fast absorbing, fights aging, and more.

Garnier skin active micellar water. This is a new one. Although its an extra step in the makeup removal process, I love it because it helps me use less face wash to remove whats left over.

I just love Josie Maran skincare, Don't judge me. Get this, it's awesome. That is ALL. Carry on.

UD b6 prep spray. When urban decay says its the spray you thought you didn't need until you tried it. They weren't lying! it reduces redness, tightens pores, and has a spiffy cooling sensation.

Clinique oil control cleansing mask. If you have a blemish tonight, put this baby on, and it's gone tomorrow. I SWEAR

This is my daily clarifying lotion. It keeps things from creeping on my face.

My fave pimple eraser! Its best for the ones that have come to a head

Purity cleanser melts into my skin and washes away makeup like it was never there. Super gentle, another try it, you'll like it.

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT leave your house without spraying this on. That is an order. Spending all that time on your face so it can melt off? puhhhlease, pfft. This stuff locks it dowwnnnnnn

I used to not like glam glow, because I was like, I don't notice anything, but then I noticed how much moisture it was really feeding my skin, plus and make you tingly awwwwlll ova. A++++

Long list I know. But like it or not, I love it. I always find myself repurchasing these items, Whats funny is they all started off as samples, Hahahaha! Darn you samples! Or not, big up to samples!

Till Next time!

Sephora VIB Sale Haul: Josie Maran, Boscia & More

I caved. As usual. I mean when you get a VIB coupon, and ebates has 4% cash back. It kinda makes you, cave. Haha! So I really used this opportunity to not only stock up, but try new things. I'm really skeptical about paying full price for things I've never tried before. Mainly, for fear of not liking the product, allergic reactions, etc. So the result of that "fear" is that I purchase most of my beauty products in sets. Aside from the fact that they help you save money, they open you up to a while new world of  products!

What I got:
Josie Maran Pure & Free
Too Faced Sugar Pop Eyeshadow palette
Boscia Japanese Cleansing Ritual
Benefit's Blended with Benefit kit
Boscia cleanse & peel trio
Josie Maran Pure Argan Milk
Clinique moisture surge extended thirst relief (100 point gift)

Josie Maran Pure & Free
This set comes with a travel sized argan oil light, infinity intensive creamy oil, bear naked wipes, whipped argan oil in sweet citrus, argan black oil mascara. My staple of this kit is the original argan oil itself. It really keeps my skin supple, and I've even noticed it helps diminish the look of blemishes. Plus it's multi purpose and can be used for cuticle oil, hot oil hair treatments, fly aways, frizzies, etc. The infinity cream can be used in an infinite number of ways, hence the name. I mainly use it on my face as a night cream, but I also use it on my hands before bed after a hot shower as well. It's pretty greasy, and that's why I stick to using this before bed, because I don't wanna leave my grease prints everywhere you know? The whipped cream I've used before but in a different scent. I love the cream, it's very moisturizing. Nothing spectacular, but it does the job and leaves a fresh scent. I haven't tried the bear naked wipes, or the mascara, so stay tuned for a review on those later.

Too Faced Sugar Pop

These shadows are so yummy to look at! It makes my heart skip with joy and think of all things spring and summer and beach! Although I think I have a palette similar to it already,I really don't care. Lol. It's a limited edition spring Lorac palette from a few years ago. I believe I've got a review of it somewhere on this blog. But yeah,I love the colors! One sidenote though...Too Faced has very innovative ideas. I can always get where they're coming from and where they're going, but I feel their shadows are pretty inconsistent sometimes. Some have wonderful color payoff, while others, you may have to dig into a bit more. Whatever. *Kanye shrug* I tried the shadows and the ones from this palette apply beautifully, are pretty pigmented.

Josie Maran Pure Argan Milk
I commend Josie for all of her efforts in creating a product line that promotes work, especially for women, in Morocco. I already am a true fan of her argan oil, and this milk just makes me more of a zealot. I switch up my night routine quarterly. Then I go on a rotation of my staples, and newfound loves. I do this because skin, like hair, can sometimes become accustomed to the same ol same ol, and appear to no longer give the effects they once had in the beginning. Switching up your routine every once in a while prevents this from happening. This milk is an "oil & water" mix. The concoction  of purified water and droplets of argan, is said to help better penetrate and hydrate the skin. Therefore, sealing in moisture for a youthful glow.

Boscia Cleanse & Peel set

I have yet to buy me a full sized Boscia luminizing black mask because I keep getting them in kits. Lol. You really have to layer it on thick, otherwise, you will not be able to peel the mask off of your face. It really helps to draw out the impurities from your skin. Since the mask is black, you can see all the gunk extracted from your face once the mask is peeled. It really does help to brighten your complexion. Give it a go. You won't regret it. :) Next, it came with an exfoliating peel gel. It's a pretty interesting thing this gel. You see, it has these exfoliating agents that bond to the outer layer of the skin to gently remove dead skin cells. It contains aha's and enzymes to firm, remove and brighten. Alert: my face feels some kinda way after rinsing. The exfoliating agent causes the product to "clump"up and the little chunks are difficult to rinse off. I woke up the next morning with these tiny pieces on my face and was like, wtf? It's still a good product, just have to put some more oomppf into rinsing next time I guess. And last but not least, this set came with a detoxifying black cleanser which I have not tried yet, but I have faith that it just might amaze me.

Boscia Japanese Cleansing Ritual set

This purchase is a result of a restock. The makeup breakup cool cleansing oil is my staple for removing a long days face of makeup. It doesn't tug our pull on the skin like many other oil cleansers out there do. I have yet to try the tsubaki exfoliating powder, and the purifying cleansing gel. ( reviews later ;) ) Then there's the konjac sponge. I really don't use this sponge alone, although I do make it apart of my cleansing routine. Contrary to what it seems it may feel like through pictures, it's fairly soft. A little too soft for me really. I still like to use it as my first wash after removing my makeup. Then I use my clarisonic right after to finish the job. I've read great reviews about it evening the skin tone due to the konjac root that is infused in it. I have yet to notice a difference. I'll give it a while though. Who knows.

Benefit's Blended with Benefit kit

This kit comes with two beauty blenders. A pink one and a "white"one, but it looks more like a cream color to me. I have a beauty blender already, and I love it! It's super fast, and easy and provides an airbrushed finish in literally, like, 2 seconds. The egg shape helps it to work around the crevices of your face. Eyes, nose, jaw, etc. Next it comes with a POREfessional primer. One of my favorites, but I still love my smashbox. I think I love both equally honestly. It's good stuff. Last but not least is the classic staple benetint. I think any and every women , whether rookie or veteran should have this. It's very versatile and easy to use, all while producing a completely natural look. You can sheer it out, or build it up for a more dramatic finish. Get it, you'll love it, the end.

Phewwwwwwwwwww! Goodness, I feel like I've written a book! But, I hope it was detailed enough to give enough info on your purchasing decision. The sale of course is over by now, but many things ate sick available for grabs (I hope). Let me know what you got, what you didn't get, and what you think I should get! And don't forget to share!
